Tomorrow’s Women (formerly Creativity for Peace) is announcing a full-time job opening for a Program Manager based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Program Manager is responsible for all programs in the United States. Management includes daily operations, program evaluation and, supervision of staff and interns as well as the yearly intensive camp in New Mexico and local programs for youth and adults. Program Manager, Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Programs and Operations

·      Existing Programs: Works with the Executive Director on the planning, managing, and evaluation of existing programs and operations in the United States and overseas, including the summer camp intensive and Young Leader training

·      New Program Opportunities: Collaborates with the Executive Director on developing, managing, and evaluating new programs in line with strategic vision and theory of change

·      Closely collaborates with Co-Director in Israel/Palestine on program planning, management, and evaluation

·      Acts as the program liaison with the Development and Marketing team, focusing on program promotion and outcomes


Young Leader Program (Supervises all aspects of the annual summer camp intensive in New Mexico)


·      Develops camp schedule in consultation with appropriate staff

·      Supervises camp staff while camp is in session

·      Serves as an on-site camp manager with the authority to delegate tasks to staff and volunteer

·      Conducts post-camp evaluations of participants, Senior Young Leaders, and staff, and compiles and analyzes evaluations


US-based Programs for Youth


·      Manage Peace Ambassadors program for American young women in northern New Mexico

·      Develops and oversees new programs for American youth in line with the organization’s mission and strategic objectives

·      Recruits, supervise, and evaluates personnel working on these programs

 

Outreach

·      Collaborates with the Executive Director on outreach strategies, planning, monitoring, and evaluation

·      Oversees strategies, policies, and programs for volunteers

·      When requested, serves as liaison with partner organizations in the US and coordinates with Co-Directors/Israel-Palestine on international partnerships  

·      When needed, serves as the backup spokesperson for the organization

·      Attends educational programs and meetings to advance organizational objectives


Personnel Management


·      Directly supervises, monitors, and evaluates up to two staff

·      Hires and supervises outside contractors, interns, and others for selected projects and programs

·      Manage all program volunteers


The Program Manager maintains political neutrality in all situations related to work with and for Tomorrow’s Women. The duties and priorities are dynamic and therefore may change from time to time as agreed upon with the Executive Director.


JOB EXPECTATIONS This is a demanding position that requires time and energy beyond the description listed. You will be asked to contribute to and fulfill areas outside of your primary role. Additional expectations are:

●     70% in office/work from home, 30% local travel (more during summer camp July/August) for program efforts

●     Working five or more weekends per year

●     Attendance at all bi-monthly staff meetings


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

●     College graduate

●     3-5 years previous experience in youth program management or coordination in a camp or camp-like environment

●     Experience in cross-cultural work

●     Experience working with a team

●     Ability to write and speak persuasively


DESIRED SKILLS

●     Knowledge of the Palestinian/Israeli conflict and the geopolitics of the region

●     Experience working with and leading volunteers

●     Project coordination

●     Facilitation, speaking, and presentation experience
