The Simms/Mann Institute is seeking an experienced Project & Administrative Manager to manage, plan, track, and monitor the ​implementation of the Institute’s core educational initiatives which include in-person and online programs. 

This position is being offered as a full-time position. The position will start immediately, and the candidate will train and work remotely during the current stay-at-home requirements. After the requirements change, the candidate would resume work at the Simms/Mann office in Los Angeles.

Simms/Mann Institute Overview

The Simms/Mann Institute seeks to identify and pursue strategies to promote the health and wellness of children ages 0-5 and their families. Our annual programs and initiatives, including CuddleBright Experience, First 36 Fellowship & Lecture Series, and Think Tank, are all strategies aimed at bringing the most cutting-edge science of early childhood to professionals and practitioners.

Overall responsibilities include:

  1. Manage and provide project support for the following online programs: The First 36 Project, Colorado, The First 36 Professional Development Lecture Series, CuddleBright Ambassador Program, and any other new online programming. 
  2. Provide administrative support to leadership including scheduling, calendar management, and correspondence. 
  3. Manage the implementation of the Institute’s communications on all social media platforms to promote the Institute's mission to increase mission awareness, audience engagement, and program participation.

Specific tasks include:

  • Manage all internal administrative logistics including meeting preparation, taking meeting notes, coordinating schedules and calendars, email and phone correspondence.
  • Support Consultants and Education Director to deliver, manage, and advance our current 0-3 early childhood programs and training modules.
  • Develop and manage a master operating calendar for the organization.
  • Identify speakers, organize and manage participants and all logistics for programs, lectures and training sessions.
  • Take meeting notes and manage tasks for projects.
  • Manage DropBox and organization of all files.
  • Support implementation of program evaluation and surveys.
  • Track and monitor invoices.
  • Manage CuddleBright Kit inventory and sales through the Amazon sales portal.
  • Manage social media and website content.
  • Other duties may include research, and special projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of project management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Strong oral communication skills 
  • Highly organized
  • Attention to detail and follow-through is a must
  • Personal integrity and responsibility, and the ability to establish and maintain
  • effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals and institutions
  • Experienced user of PowerPoint and solid slide presentation skills
  • Knowledge & ability to use online platforms & management tools including Zoom, Google Drive, Office 365 suite, DropBox, Asana.

This position reports to the Managing Director and is being offered as a full-time position. Salary is based on experience.
