    Description

    Job Summary:

    Manufacturers Alliance’s Research Analyst supports the organization’s research and content needs with survey creation, marketing surveys and gathering of responses, data analysis, producing insights, building charts, and content creation. Additionally, this role will assist members with quick polls, post results to the website, manage multiple research projects within a timeline, and interact with partners and vendors. The Research Analyst works closely with the Business Insights and Analytics Manager to identify priorities, the Council team to identify member needs, and the Director of Content, Marketing & Creative to report on organizational metrics. This role is ideal for someone who likes working on teams while also moving projects forward independently.

    As a research analyst, your objective will be to provide data-driven insights that support our business decisions, strategies and operations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, analytical professional with a keen interest in data.

    Responsibilities:

    Research

    • Create and manage multiple project plans for research projects
    • Develop survey questions
    • Input/code survey questions into our survey tool (currently Survey Monkey)
    • Working in HubSpot to send emails to members to take the surveys
    • Schedule and conduct interviews for reports, transcribe interviews
    • Actively troubleshoot issues with data and/or research tools
    • Analyze data utilizing a variety of tools and tactics, such as Tableau, Excel, and SurveyMonkey
    • Report on findings in written form making data-driven insights about the survey results
    • Create insights, reports, story outlines, presentations, or other outputs from the data as required
    • Upload survey results and final reports into the website for public/members
    • Monitor responses and supporting Research team with analysis needs
    • Handle incoming member polling requests
    • Communicate with members and staff about results and/or progress

    Content and Marketing

    • Develop content ideas meeting organizational themes and priorities
    • Write concise email content to engage members to take survey
    • Support content needs such as writing short survey insights/analysis
    • Develop articles or content related to macro topics

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of research/data analysis and content creation or related experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Detail oriented
    • Self-starter
    • Comfortable communicating across teams and departments
    • Understanding or willingness to learn new technologies, CMSs, CRMs, survey and analysis tools, and email technology.
    • Demonstrated project management experience, including an ability to efficiently plan, prioritize, and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
    • Customer experience and service focus when engaging with members/speakers
    • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
    • Enthusiasm for new ideas and their implementation
    • Proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while balancing multiple roles and commitments
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and needs of the organization

    Working Conditions

    • Remote office with some in-person meetings each month/quarter
    • Opportunity to support in-person events no more than twice per year
