The Campus Manager role will serve Beacon Hill Preparatory Institute.

Beacon Hill Preparatory Institute is a non-profit organization that provides critical supplemental math and reading tutoring and enrichments to high-risk students in local public and charter schools throughout Fair Park, Oak Cliff, Wilmer Hutchins, Pleasant Grove and surrounding communities. Programs include in-school, after-school, and summer programming. We ensure students Catch Up, Keep Up and Stay Ahead by developing data-informed intervention plans and supporting teachers and parents throughout the school year. Our desired outcomes are to help each student achieve grade-level proficiency in math and reading, develop confident learners, and level the playing field for all participating students

Purpose: The Campus Manager will ensure the efficient operation of high-quality tutoring programs at assigned location(s) for children in grades prek-6th. 

General Responsibilities: 

  • Create a positive and engaging atmosphere 
  • Provide high-quality and engaging small group instruction 
  • Assess students and monitor group performance 
  • Implement curriculum with fidelity 
  • Maintain accurate and confidential recordkeeping and database entry
  • Supervise classroom management 
  • Adhere to internal and external policies 
  • Display professional behavior and dress 
  • Attend program trainings and lead staff meetings 
  • Assist with volunteer and staff training 
  • Contribute to organizational success 

Education and Qualifications: 

  • College degree and teacher certification (preferred)
  • Experience with school-age children may substitute for degree/certification 
  • Computer literacy and access with high-speed internet 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications 
  • Strong communications, organization and interpersonal skills 
  • Management/leadership background (preferred) 

Reports to: Program Manager 

Direct Reports: Instructional Teachers, Substitute Teachers, Volunteers 

Schedule: M-Th (8am-4pm), F (9am-1pm); some hours may be flexible

Pay Rate: Salaried. If selected for the position there is an unpaid orientation of 20 hours to be completed around your schedule.

Physical Demands: 

Physical demands of the position may include standing, walking, sitting and occasionally reaching outward and above the shoulder. May be required to lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds.
