Position Summary:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Development and Donor Engagement Coordinator is responsible for all facets of individual and institutional giving, including development of new strategies to grow Central City Neighborhood Partners current fundraising strategies. Will work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to develop and implement a Fundraising Plan that includes short-term, medium-term and long-term strategies for major gifts, foundation and corporate support, government funding, annual giving, and fundraising events.


CANDIDATE PROFILE

The Coordinator will embrace CCNP's mission and introduce new initiatives to achieve excellence, growth, and impact in fundraising and communications. Individual giving, donor communications, and executing on the fundraising strategy set forth by the CCNP board and executive director. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, energetic, and natural fundraiser who is well versed in all aspects of fundraising, including cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

Development Operations and Leadership

1.      Partner with the Executive Director and Board to create and implement a comprehensive development plan in support of the organization's mission.

2.      Embrace and model the attributes of a culture of best practices, collaboration, and accountability.

3.      Build strong relationships with CCNP’s team, to nurture a culture of development throughout the organization.

4.      Support the executive director in managing the portfolio

5.      Create an actionable plan to expand overall revenue for all funding sources.

6.      Support accountant in donor receipts and provides support to the management team in grant reporting

7.      Identify new and potential revenue sources


Foundation, Corporate, & Government Grants

1.      Assisting the management team in expanding a portfolio of $1.4 million in foundation and corporate grants.

2.      Oversee and expand a portfolio of $1.4 million in government grants including the supervision of responses to government requests for proposals. individual gifts including annual donor giving campaigns and year round donor communications


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

1.      Development professional with demonstrated history of fundraising success and significant experience in team             leadership, supporting staff, executives, and board members in a dynamic environment.

2.      Demonstrated success cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding and individual donors,

3.      Creative thinker. Demonstrated ability to bring a fresh approach to development initiatives.

4.      Demonstrated sensitivity to multicultural issues, and be comfortable working in multicultural, urban environment.

5.      Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required.

6.      Understand, support, and be able to articulate CCNP's Vision, Mission, and Values Statement, as well as program

             specific information.

  1. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills required; ability to use tact and diplomacy in communication;
  2. Valid California driver’s license and have access to an insured, registered vehicle;
  3.  Submit to and successfully pass a criminal history background check.
  4. Participate in strategic planning of CCNP initiatives;
  5. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
