Flying Manes Therapeutic Riding, a non-profit organization, is looking for a part-time volunteer coordinator. The volunteer coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing volunteer scheduling and assignments, communicating with other staff regarding volunteer positions, and setting up and breaking down equipment on lesson days.
The ideal candidate is passionate about working with people from many different backgrounds, with children and adults with special needs, and of course with our four-legged friends (prior horse experience and PATH certification a plus). The position requires initiative and excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
The time commitment is on Saturdays (from 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM) for 8 weeks in the spring (April-June), 6 weeks in the summer (June/July), and 10 weeks in the fall (September-November), with an additional 2-3 hours offsite during the week to set up the volunteer schedule and handle volunteer inquiries.
This is a paid position that reports directly to the Program Director.
