Harlem Educational Activities Fund is seeking a Full Time Receptionist/Office Assistant. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, the Receptionist/Office Assistant handles a variety of administrative support tasks, as well as providing support to the Finance department. Provides opportunity for exposure to HR and IT departments.
This individual's primary responsibilities include handling incoming calls and visitors, ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of organization, while maintaining office common areas. Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges. Other administrative duties include assisting Finance Associate with data entry (AP/CR), addressing issues regarding vendors and facilities, ordering of office and general supplies, filing, sorting and distributing mail, monitoring inventories (supplies and computer hardware), monitor and maintain office equipment, and preparation of monthly excel spreadsheets.
• Punctuality and organizational skills • Ability to multi-task and work with several people at the same time • Excellent written and verbal communications skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Excellent analytical skills • Proficient with MS Office and Google• Knowledgeable working with computers, phone system, copiers and printers.
Tuesday through Friday, 11 am - 7 pm, and Saturday, 9 am – 5 pm
