The Program & Membership Coordinator will support the Program & Membership Director in managing the organization’s capacity-building programs and help steward and engage members. This part-time position is temporary with the potential for being extended and offers tremendous opportunities for creativity, impact, and growth.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs
  • Coordinate program marketing, communications, recruitment, logistics, and reporting
  • Provide back-end support to program consultants/facilitators before, during, and after programs
  • Coordinate membership outreach, recruitment, and engagement 
  • Respond to membership inquiries and requests for assistance
  • Maintain program and membership database and generate reports 
  • Social media management and postings
  • Assist with updates and revisions to our website
  • Create written and video content used in digital communications
  • Collaborate on marketing campaign planning and execution

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated commitment to racial equity and understanding of systemic racism 
  • Experience with providing program or membership support 
  • Excellent written, grammar, proofreading, and research skills
  • Excellent verbal, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills 
  • Skilled in working independently and collaboratively
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a service-oriented approach
  • Flexibility and willingness to work simultaneously on a range of tasks and projects 
  • Effective time management and willingness to accept changes in priorities to meet deadlines 
  • Strong computer skills, experience with Google Suite and Zoom, and comfort with learning new software and technology
  • Experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
  • Excellent record-keeping and data entry skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged stationary position, chiefly at a computer terminal 
  • Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment
  • Normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate in writing, in person, and by phone
