About The Right To The City Alliance (RTTC) and RTTC Action

Right To The City Alliance (RTTC) emerged in 2007 as a unified response to gentrification and a call to halt the displacement of low-income people, people of color, marginalized LGBTQ communities, and youth of color from our historic urban neighborhoods. We are a national alliance of racial, economic and environmental justice organizations. Through shared principles and a common frame and theory of change, RTTC is building a national movement for democratic, just and sustainable cities. RTTC Action is an affiliated 501(c)4 organization coordinating advocacy, lobbying and integrated voter engagement (IVE) work, including electoral campaigns. RTTC Action is a vehicle to develop the renter class as a political bloc to contest for governing power through coordinated strategy, translocal alignment and strategic movement infrastructure.
