Since 1991, ZUMIX has provided free after school enrichment programs for youth ages 7-18 in the Greater Boston area. We offer hands-on programming in four areas: songwriting and performance, creative technology, community radio, and instrument instruction. ZUMIX’s goal is to foster young people’s personal development, artistic growth, and civic engagement as well as to promote the 21st century skills needed to achieve success in college and career. Through onsite programming and in-school partnerships, ZUMIX now serves more than 1,000 participants per year. In 2011 we received the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award from the White House and we continue building on that excellence, empowering youth through music. For more information on our work, please visit www.zumix.org.

Candidates should be comfortable teaching all levels in various genres. Additional responsibilities include assistance with instrument care (drum tuning, replacing drum heads etc…) and program administration.
