The Financial Analysts/Grants Specialists (Finance Partners) are mission critical participants in achieving our goal of preserving biodiversity in California and throughout the globe. As a Finance Partner, you are responsible for providing financial leadership through analysis, budgeting support, grant administration and other financial management services to assigned conservation business units. You will provide technical support in budget development, monthly financial review, fiscal year closeout and ongoing, complex award management. Close consultation with unit managers, operations and legal staff are required to ensure sound and smart business operations.
Financial Analysts/Grants Specialists work closely with project teams to develop a broad understanding of Conservancy programs to better facilitate the acquisition, management and close out of public and privately funded grants and contracts. You will also work with agency contracting officers to clarify or negotiate financial and administrative requirements and the Legal Department to coordinate legal review and signatures. You will be directly responsible for financial accounting and administrative management of all aspects of these agreements including review of proposal and agreements, set-up in central finance systems, preparation and submission of all invoices and financial reports, payment tracking, maintenance of master files, and coordination of audits required by local authorities.
The preferred location for this position is Sacramento, California.
