BronxWorks is hiring 1 Health Educator for is HIV/AIDS Case Management & Health Education Services Department.


Join a team committed to high quality services at BronxWorks, a community-based organization with over 40 years of experience in meeting community needs in the Bronx. The HIV/AIDS Case Management and Health Education Services Program at BronxWorks is seeking a Health Educator. The Health Educator assesses clients for their level of knowledge about HIV/AIDS and based on the assessment, develops and implements health education service plans. The Health Educator develops curricula for health education groups, facilitates health education groups on and off-site, and uses an evaluation form to determine the degree to which group goals were met. The Health Educator also conducts individualized Health Education sessions. The Health Educator collaborates with the HIV/AIDS Case Manager and a  peer navigator to meet clients’ needs. The Health Educator enters services provided into the documentation system, AIRS, in a timely manner. The Health Educator also prepares monthly reports.


Requirements include a B.A., at least two years of experience working in the field of HIV/AIDS or other chronic illness and two years of experience developing and facilitating health education groups. The Health Educator should have effective communication and documentation skills as well as cultural and linguistic competence for the population served. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Advanced-level professional competency in written and spoken English language is required. Authorization to work in the United States for any employer is mandatory.
