Summary: The Senior Associate of Development & Communications (SADC) will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the fundraising and communications domains for C2C. Working in close partnership with the Managing Director, the SADC will take primary ownership of C2C’s annual fund, developing a calendar of donor touchpoints, supporting moves management for a portfolio of VIP stakeholders, and ensuring smooth and effective donor communications. The SADC will also play a key role in institutional fundraising, managing a calendar of grants, conducting prospect research, and helping to increase C2C institutional donor base, as well as managing the organization’s donor communications (website, etc.). The SADC will steward and organize Board Affairs, as well as organizational administrative needs in the US – which support the organization’s 100+ staff contingent in Haiti.

The ideal candidate will possess enthusiasm for supporting and participating in C2C’s ambitious growth over the next few years. Our next SADC will be creative, an independent problem-solver with strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and an appetite for a big portfolio of responsibilities in support of C2C’s mission and growth. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support the grants function for the organization, including grants calendar management and writing LOIs, reports and proposals
  • Identify new grants and opportunities through prospect research 
  • Manage the annual fund cycle including annual appeals, online giving, and donor relations 
  • Work directly with C2C’s Managing Director on a portfolio of VIP stakeholders
  • Manage all gift processing, data, and reporting
  • Manage online donation platforms such as Classy and GlobalGiving and creates campaigns for online giving 
  • Manage and create communications collateral and stewardship, including the Annual Report
  • Manage C2C’s website content and messaging
  • Lead C2C’s social media strategy and implementation
  • Work closely with Program colleagues to ensure close alignment between clinical operations and impact measurement, and story-telling and donor engagement.
  • Manage Board and Committee scheduling and governance affairs
  • Manage and lead all administrative support for the US 501(c)3 function.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of related experience with at least one year in a fundraising role.
  • Flexible, self-directed, entrepreneurial style, able to adapt to the competing demands of a small and agile organization
  • Some experience working on non-profit grant-writing or grants management
  • Experience with non-profit communications or administrative functions
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral including the ability to review, and synthesize information 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Haiti and/or global health 
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (preferably Salesforce)
