Interested in giving back to your community? Want to earn money for college or to pay off student loans? Interested in working within a non-profit organization but just can't seem to find the right one?

Public Allies Delaware is currently accepting applications for program participants for out 2018 - 2019 class. Public Allies Delaware is a nationally recognized AmeriCorps program of the University of Delaware, Center for Community Research and Service which provides a pathway for diverse leaders to emerge in communities across the state of Delaware.


For 10 months our Allies are placed in paid professional apprenticeships at local nonprofits where they create, improve, and expand services that address a variety of issues; that include youth development, education, public health, community and economic development and the environment. In addition the Allies will work with other Allies and community members to create and implement sustainable community-led team service projects using an asset-based approach. Also, Allies will participate in weekly trainings with local community and civic leaders on topics such as public speaking, conflict resolution, logic models, diversity, strategic planning, leadership development, and media literacy. And when 10 month term is completed, you will receive the Segal Education Award set at about $5900 for future ed or old student loans.
