La Comunidad Que Construimos (LCQC Peru) is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Program Director to oversee the day-to-day administration, recruitment, program development and operations for our non-profit organization in Trujillo, Peru.

We are an official Peruvian NGO that helps at-risk kids have access to the education they deserve & develop their self-esteem through workshops in English, art, sports and cultural exchange in a local school. Our mission is to help them fulfil their individual potentialities and maximize their social and emotional growth from early childhood – through our English teaching and after-school programs. Their self-esteem and personal development are our top priorities.

As a Program Director, you will report to the NGO President and continually find ways to make our educational programs sustainable and to support our team of Coordinators and Volunteers throughout their terms of service. You will collaborate closely with the Board Members and our partner school to maximize the social impact of our team and to improve the volunteer experience and the quality of our programs.


People Management

• Recruit and train international and local coordinators and volunteers

• Provide constant support for an enhanced volunteer experience

• Run weekly team meetings to prepare program curriculum, activities and materials

Strategic Planning

• Organize and implement events to promote our social projects and raise funds

• Develop and implement a strategy to strength the program and identify areas for improvement

• Create new partnerships with international educational institutions, companies and donors


• Manage social media and networking

• Write financial reports for monthly submission

• Monitor program activities on a regular basis: social impact, risks and budget

NGO values and culture

• Lead by example and be a responsible ambassador for the NGO

• Take part in social activities with the volunteers outside the programs

• Be enthusiastic and positive!


• Bachelor of Arts (3-year degree), preferably in Education, English, Psychology or Business Management

• Minimum commitment of 12 months – essential

• Fluent in English and Upper-Intermediate level of Spanish – essential

• Previous teaching experience – essential

• Previous volunteer experience – essential

• Experience in leading and training a team – essential

• Able to work with a team and to build strong local partnerships

• Positive attitude, problem-solving mentality and excellent communication skills

• Able to adapt quickly and be flexible

• First Aid certification

• Previous experience working or living in South America desired but not required


• Salary based on 10% of volunteer contribution
