Our finance department  is seeking a full time Insurance Billing Manager !

Position Summary:

Oversees and supervises all billing functions including 3rd party insurance billing, single payer insurance billing, contract and subcontract billing, commercial billing and other miscellaneous billing.   

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provides supervision, oversight and direction to the billing department and direct supervision of billing team supervisors.
  • Reviews current processes and procedures, identifies areas for improvement and implements changes.
  • Ensures the timely filing of all claims, monitors best practices and changing requirements for peers, payers and regulators. 
  • Handles and resolves escalated claims, problems or complaints.
  • Monitors accounts receivable and revenue metrics and implements continuous improvement.
  • Posts revenue from various sources to general ledger. Ensures reconciliation of AR accounts and holding accounts.
  • Supports billers and program management to improve communication and collaboration between department and programs.
  • Participates as an active member of the Medisked Steering team.
  • Other Duties and projects as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or relevant experience  
  • Six (6) years insurance billing experience required plus three (3) years supervisory experience required.
  • Solid understanding of MA state billing systems preferred
  • Proven record in the management and development of staff
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with staff at all levels of the organization
