Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood’s mission is to promote healthy sexuality and reproductive choice through exceptional services, honest education and fearless advocacy. We serve the greater Capital District and operate health centers in Albany, Troy and Hudson, NY.
Our Development Team is looking for a full time Development Program Assistant who is interested in promoting the goals of UHPP’s Development team by assisting with the day to day operations of the department.
The Development Program Assistant will be responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support for all members of the UHPP Development Department and the Capital Campaign including general correspondence, reports, and documents. Drafting routine business letters, minutes, etc. as needed. Scheduling and attending departmental meetings, taking meeting minutes, fielding phone calls from donors, volunteers, clients, colleagues and gathering information to forward to appropriate members of staff, responsible for coordinating various aspects of special activities and special events as requested. Organizing department supplies and materials, arranging for lending and/or donation of materials to community members when needed, and assists with the management of UHPP’s donor database, Rasier’s Edge.

An understanding and support of Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood's mission, services, goals and programs. Someone with a positive attitude, is self-directed with excellent written, interpersonal and telephone skills. Ability to handle varying assignments with flexibility and good judgment. Must understand and maintain the confidentiality of the agency. Must be able to work efficiently and effectively; and to organize and perform detailed work accurately. Knowledge of Access database, Excel spreadsheets, Windows/Word, Raiser’s Edge Software and familiarity with internet and web site use and maintenance preferred.
