Job Title: Development Manager, Grant Writing, Full-Time

Position Summary
LINC seeks a Development Manager, Grant Writing, to join its award-winning Development team which underpins the mandate of the Fundraising, Advocacy and Communications department to raise resources and increase the visibility of LINC’s important work. With an annual fundraising goal of $4 million, LINC is currently experiencing growth and transformation as it enters its 25th Anniversary. The ideal candidate will join LINC at a critical and exciting time.
As a key member of our team, the Development Manager, Grant Writing, will work closely with the executive team to assist in cultivating, sustaining, and growing our relationships with foundation prospects. The role will write effective and compelling communications, grants, reports, and LOIs leveraging academic research and LINC’s evaluation and impact findings. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Development Manager, Grant Writing, will oversee all of our foundation grant preparation, submission, and reporting, including the management of our existing foundation portfolio and the research of new prospects. This position also oversees the application process and compliance with charity watchdog groups.
The ideal candidate is a superb writer, creative and analytical, who is passionate about research, reading, and writing. The ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines is a must.
Responsibilities
Skills/Qualifications
4+ years of direct experience in grant writing a must.
Bachelor’s Degree required and related certifications preferred.
Background in fundraising is necessary, and previous experience in research or policy is helpful.
High level of creativity, initiative, and motivation.
Excellent organization and research skills
Superior writing, analytical, listening and verbal communication skills are necessary.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a diverse team.
Proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and under tight deadlines.
Ability to exercise good judgment.
Curious, collaborative, information seeking, continuous learner and creative problem solver.
Able to work in a fast-paced organization and adapt to complexity or ambiguity.
Demonstrated passion for LINC's mission.
