Job Summary:


Brady has an exciting opening for an associate working across our Partnerships and Development teams. This individual works closely with the Director of Partnerships and the Director of Development to fill a critical role to grow and engage Brady’s partners, corporate partners, and to help Brady grow our base of donors, partners and supporters.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:


Partnerships (40%)

 

Help to maintain existing partner relationships and develop new relationships to further Brady’s programs, development goals, and expand Brady’s partnership portfolio. This includes:

 

  • Research, writing, and content creation to maintain and develop current and future partnerships
  • Research and identify new potential partners and conduct active outreach and explore engagement opportunities with an emphasis on growing our corporate partnerships
  • Contribute to Brady’s intersectional portfolio, through planning and outreach to build Brady’s BIPOC, corporate, NGO and other partners toward Brady’s goals of social and racial justice
  • Support communication efforts with existing partners and assist with execution of partnership program campaigns and plans
  • Represent Brady on internal and external meetings and calls as needed
  • Liaise with other Brady teams, including Policy, Organizing, and Communications, to coordinate interdepartmental partnership engagement efforts


Development (40%)

 

Brady’s development team is at an exciting inflection point and this individual will be crucial in setting us up for growth. Identify and research prospects within Brady’s existing donor base as well as new leads across fundraising channels. This includes:

 

  • Manage prospect development pipeline to support major gifts, foundations, corporate, to support channel leads as they seek to grow and expand Brady’s donor pipeline
  • Critically evaluate leads through qualification metrics and assign to portfolio managers
  • Build out our workplace giving efforts at major corporations as well as the Federal Government’s Combined Federal Campaign
  • Prepare well-researched briefs and memos as needed
  • Providing an exceptional level of customer service to donor and prospects via phone and email promptly

 

Administrative (20%)

  • Partnership administrative tasks include scheduling and preparing for meetings, maintain partner lists, contact records, and tracking activities
  • Development administrative tasks include assisting with donor stewardship activities and support data entry needs, including prospect research
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

 

Skills and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required with minimum 1-2 years relevant experience (internship and volunteer experiences applicable) of working within a nonprofit or advocacy organization
  • Seeking a well-rounded professional with exceptional interpersonal skills, strong research, writing and communication skills
  • Strong team player with outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Experience and comfort with public speaking preferred
  • Ability to use discretion and sensitivity in handling highly confidential donor and partner information and proprietary data
  • Understanding of how systemic racism, homophobia, transphobia, and ableism play a role in fueling inequities in America, including our country's gun violence epidemic, and a desire to be part of work across advocacy groups in these arenas to end gun violence
