Overview

American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a membership organization dedicated to the advancement of women's health care in Washington, DC, is currently seeking a Program Manager, AIM to be responsible for successfully overseeing the coordination and administration of AIM engagement, implementation and monitoring in a selection of states; overseeing data transfer between state teams and AIM, as well as providing support and feedback on inquiries in the AIM program within the individual's scope of practice. This is a 100% grant-funded position reporting to the AIM Project Director.



Responsibilities

  • Work directly with state clinical and public health leadership and AIM Coordinators in current and prospective AIM states including at least monthly calls and site visits.
  • Engage with AIM partners and stakeholders to coordinate national and state activities and disseminate AIM materials.
  • Lead and administrate multisector workgroups focused on bundle and/or materials development as needed.
  • Identify, track, monitor, and communicate projectrelated issues, scope changes, variances and contingencies that may arise during implementation and execution to the AIM Project Director.
  • Assist the smooth transfer of data from the hospital/state level to AIM in collaboration with the AIM Data Analyst.
  • Review AIM Program work for continuous quality improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in website messaging and other AIM state and national communication as requested.
  • Attend significant AIM meetings as assigned.
  • Contribute to articles for quarterly web newsletter and assist in writing journal articles describing AIM processes.
  • Assist other AIM and Advocacy Division staff with special projects and meetings as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, health-related, or healthcare administration field required, master's degree in health-related field, clinical and quality improvement experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical or public health experience.
  • Experience in sustaining and fostering public/private partnerships desired.
  • Experience in working with state-local public health systems and community-based organizations preferred.
  • Broad understanding of issues regarding access to and quality of maternal health services.
  • Strong written and communication skills; demonstrated public speaking skills and ability to communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to exercise independent judgment, prioritize and implement multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrated skill in negotiating controversial issues.
  • Strong computer skills including aptitude in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and content management systems.
  • Ability to travel, sometimes overnight and for several days.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical healthcare professional with experience in maternal-child health.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating medical or public health projects and outreach activities, materials, and events.
  • Experience with national public health programming.
  • PMP certification, CPPS, or RNC-OB highly desirable.
