Position Summary

As Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow (OBT) celebrates its 35th Anniversary, we are looking for a strong leader to be a Youth Program Director. This position will provide supervision, leadership and oversight of an interdisciplinary team of staff serving young adults through a diverse portfolio of education and workforce programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver on an interdisciplinary program model that combines workforce development, youth development, and academic skill building
  • Supervise and develop large team of staff members across education and workforce programs
  • Develop systems for quality improvement and data informed programming; including ensuring fidelity of program implementation
  • Maintain and exceed programmatic goals for a variety of performance based contracts
  • Manages grants and ensures all contract deliverables are met and correctly reported to the appropriate funding partners
  • In collaboration with the Director of Outreach & Community Partnerships, leads development and implementation of programmatic recruitment strategies
  • Cultivate and manage institutional partnerships, including day-to-day communication and collaboration
  • Attends to and builds a team culture that supports the organization’s mission and values
  • In collaboration with OBT’s employment team, establish a system for communication, data sharing, and feedback loops to inform program improvements
  • In collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer, manage programmatic budget
  • Act as liaison with both government and private funders, as well as community partners

  • Will have prior demonstrated success in leading and developing large team of staff
  • Experience in developing programmatic systems
  • Able to manage, delegate, and prioritize tasks in a fast paced setting

  • Is driven to create a strong culture of high accountability and support
  •  Has experience engaging and building relationships with varied stakeholders including young adults, employers, and community partners

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, masters preferred
  • At least 6 years relevant work experience
  • Experience in workforce programs
