Job Summary:

The Jacksonville Program Supervisor will oversee TBP’s Duval County site. This person will be responsible for optimizing our site processes and engaging with government stakeholders to increase referrals and access to clients as well as community partners to seek improved social services opportunities for TBP clients.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Cultivate relationships with stakeholders in the Duval’s criminal legal system to ensure TBP is receiving steady referrals, has access to clients in jail, and is preventing forfeitures
  • Work with Regional Director and Director of Client Support Services to ensure local community support organizations are identified and contacted to serve pre-trial populations.
  • Update and add new partners regularly to address client need gaps
  • Conduct routine meetings/contact with service providers to ensure service quality for clients
  • Collect feedback from clients about their experience with service providers
  • Oversee 3rd party contracts that provide client support services
  • Work with our Legal / Advocacy team to engage the bench and streamline our FTA and Bench Warrant processes. 
  • Directly supervise between 2-3 employees and ensure the team is meeting the goals and objectives of the site.
  • Implement organizational directives and ensure organizational policies and procedures are consistently followed by staff, but also locally adapted and responsive;
  • Regularly review and update the client “path of a case” for each county to optimize the bailout process and to collect bail refunds efficiently;
  • Ensure the components of TBP’s model - community release with support - are fully implemented 
  • Ensure the data is properly collected, entered in a timely manner, and used regularly by staff to monitor program fidelity and client outcomes. 

Additional duties as assigned by the Regional Director.

 

Qualifications:

You are driven, highly organized, and have a deep commitment to The Bail Project’s mission to eliminate race- and wealth-based disparities in our criminal justice system. You understand how the local criminal legal system operates and are familiar with the stakeholder groups who work inside it. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working independently or in a team-based setting. Adapting to the change inherent to a rapidly scaling startup is essential.

To excel in this role, you likely bring the following:

  • Experience directly managing people effectively to achieve ongoing results
  • Familiarity with the criminal legal system (through education, criminal justice work, and/or personal experience with the system) 
  • Live in the metropolitan area of Jacksonville 
  • Comfortable using data to track program progress and improve results 
  • Passionate about delivering high quality programs for clients
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and balance competing demands
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets
  • Effective communications skills, especially punctual email correspondence with staff across the country
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, in-person and remotely
  • Generates alternative solutions to address client needs and work challenges
  • Comfortable implementing organizational procedures and making effective and timely decisions
