The position will provide an excellent opportunity to join a team of highly motivated professionals dedicated to BayLegal's mission. The ideal candidate will have fund accounting experience preferably in MIP (Abila) non-profit accounting software applications.
Duties and responsibilities: The primary responsibility would include grants billing and providing support to the accounting manager. As directed, the accountant will prepare monthly invoices for grants, prepare reports to funders and maintain grants folders. Prepare contract budgets and budget modifications as needed. Accountant will also perform general accounting functions, including preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations, payroll and distributions and general ledger accounts analysis.
