Commensurate with experience

Wildflower, founded in 2004, is dedicated to serving children and families who have experienced the loss of a parent. By providing the gift of camp and enrichment opportunities for children, as well as consistent support and respite for parents, families can strengthen their resilience and create positive opportunities for the future. Our enduring commitment enables Wildflower to make a real and lasting impact on the lives of at-risk kids we serve, offering a restorative experience for both the children and surviving spouse as they recover from their loss. We envision a world where all children and families who experience the loss of a parent receive the support they need to recover and thrive.

Wildflower is seeking a part-time (.5 FTE) Development Director who will be responsible for developing and executing our development program in support of a $600,000 budget. The Development Director will thoughtfully cultivate new corporate, foundation, and individual donor partnerships, as well as oversee stewardship of current donor relationships, and build on a successful event and annual fund program. In this newly created position, the Development Director will report to the Executive Director and will collaborate with the Founder & current Board Chair, a dedicated Board, 2 part-time employees, and a contract grant writer.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for Wildflower’s mission, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be comfortable with a metrics-based environment. We are seeking candidates with professional fund development and major gifts experience. Candidates should be highly organized and collaborative, forward thinking, creative, detail oriented, and thrive in a small shop environment.
