Make the Road States (MRstates) is the national home for the second-generation Make the Road family of organizations in Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Nevada, this in addition to New York, that serves to uplift the voices of working-class, immigrants, women, LGBTQIA people, and people of color across the Make the Roads umbrella. From an operational spectrum it serves as the Finance and Human Resources Compliance Officers for the umbrella at large.

Current Opening:
The Deputy Organizing Director supports the Organizing Department in overseeing a statewide team of community organizers and senior level organizers leading statewide campaigns within the state. The Deputy Organizing Director will also support national campaigns and program expansion efforts and will support ongoing social justice campaigns including immigrant rights, climate justice, housing, education, and other economic, social and racial justice campaigns as identified by members. The Deputy Organizing Director provides ongoing coaching, training, supervision and support to the organizing department. The Deputy Organizing Director supports the development of our civic engagement work. The Deputy Organizing Director will also work closely with the Co-Deputy Director to ensure that campaign goals, strategies, messaging and funding opportunities and deliverables to funders are completed. Lastly, the Deputy Organizing Director will oversee base building, leadership development and member engagement seeking to build long term power for our communities.

MRStates offers an excellent benefit package including health insurance, 401K, and generous paid vacation, sick, personal days. The salary range for this position is from $75,497 to $88,924.
