The Program & Volunteer Relations Associate is based in San Francisco and reports to the Program Director. The Program & Volunteer Relations Associate is a member of the Destination College team, which provides robust college and financial aid services to high school students, both in our center and at schools and CBO’s throughout the Bay Area. The Program & Volunteer Relations Associate will support the Program Manager and Director in executing all aspects of the program and will be primarily responsible for overseeing volunteer-related duties, managing administrative aspects of the Destination College program, and supporting outreach efforts to students.

• Collaborate with the Program Director and Manager on strategic planning for volunteer program

• Manage scheduling and data entry for program operations

• Oversee core components of volunteer program, including: recruitment and training of volunteers, routine scheduling and communication with volunteers, liaise between volunteers and students, building community within volunteer base

• Assist the Program Manager with developing and facilitating in-center programming

• Deliver college readiness workshops and presentations at schools and CBO’s

• Supervise weekly College Coaching sessions with the Destination College team

• Participate in student events and other ScholarMatch special events

• Export data from our database and create charts and graphs to show trends

• Willingly collaborate with other team members to assist with special projects as needed

• Bring a smile, can-do attitude, and sense of humor


• Bachelor's degree

• Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced, collaborative open-plan work environment

• Superior communication skills and a professional demeanor

• Conscientious work ethic and outstanding attention to detail

• Excellent presentation and public speaking skills

• Commitment to continuous improvement and openness to feedback

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish or Chinese

• Minimum 1-3 years professional experience

• Experience working with volunteers in some capacity

• Experience teaching or working with students from underrepresented backgrounds


• Flexible hours; evenings and weekend hours are regularly required
