Reporting to the Senior Vice President and serving as an integral member of the senior management team, the Director of Finance and Administration will have overall responsibility for USCBC’s financial management, human resources, membership services and billing, facilities, information technology, investments, and other operations for the Council.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·      Advise the President, Senior Vice President and other members of the leadership team on financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow

·      Responsible for budget processes, financial analysis, and forecasting

·      Responsible for the development and oversight of required financial systems, policies, procedures, and internal controls

·      Responsible for generation of monthly financials and full-year projections to internal and external stakeholders

·      Responsible for financial reporting to audit committee of the board of directors

·      Manage annual financial audit process and tax filings

·      Oversee financial operations and work of outsourced accounting firms to generate monthly budget reports

·      Manage investment CD portfolio and monitor cash and investment balances

·      Manage relationships with bank, audit firm, property manager, and all relevant outsourced consultants

·      Hands on responsibility for accounting, financial operations and reporting that includes general ledger, AR, AP, etc.

·      Supervise membership administration manager and oversee membership duties, database management, and membership dues billing and retention

OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:

·      Work with IT consultant to support/troubleshoot internal IT issues across all offices

·      Work with IT consultant to determine hardware/software needs and system upgrades (hardware/software) and handle other IT projects

·      Work with HR consultant on employee relations matters, and implementation of new and updated policies

·      Manage payroll, employee benefits, health insurance pen enrollment, and retirement plan contributions

·      Responsible for new employee hiring and onboarding process, employee retention efforts,  employee performance evaluation process and for maintaining personnel files

·      Coordinate intern hiring, scheduling and daily assignments

·      Responsible for developing and maintaining organization policies

·      Oversee corporate insurance policies, and work closely with insurance brokers in the annual policy renewal process

·      Oversee and maintain trademark renewal process

QUALIFICATIONS:

·      Bachelor’s degree

·      7-10 years of experience working in a supervisory position

·      CPA preferred

·      Demonstrated ability to operate independently, take initiative to identify issues/needs and propose and execute solutions, and manage/handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

·      Experience working with Intacct accounting system, Bill.com, Concur and Salesforce CRM

·      Excellent attention to detail, problem solving skills, and strong oral and written communication skills

·      Cooperative attitude, sense of humor, diplomatic customer service skills, and ability to thrive in small but congenial intercultural team environment
