Description

Levine Music is looking for a music therapist to provide individual and group music therapy services at Levine's five campuses (MD, DC, VA) and at various outreach sites. The current position will primarily serve the Levine campuses and community partnerships in the District of Columbia.


The Music Therapist advances and supports the mission, vision, and core values of Levine Music through planning and conducting data-based music therapy services at Levine Music and community outreach locations for individuals with disabilities, medical issues, and/or who might be otherwise underserved. Individual must be a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC); Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy required; possess excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and musical skills; be committed to a cognitive behavioral, data based approach; have a valid driver s license and access to a car to drive to work sites; personally adhere to all established personnel policies and practices of Levine Music; and encourage a respectful, healthy, and productive work environment for the staff, clients, and volunteers with whom he/she works and supervises.

2-4 years of experience in a supervised group setting.


Population: Children with a variety of special needs diagnoses; adults with developmental disabilities; older adults with memory disorders


Part-Time: 10-15 hours per week, with potential for growth
