We have a 2nd-3rd grade teaching position available at Colegio Americano del Sur (CAS) starting January 7th, 2019. (Our school year runs from January 7th thru November 8th.) (Previous experience working with primary is preferred.) This is a teaching position whereby some classes are taught in Spanish, by the Spanish teacher, while others are taught by the English teacher at different times in the schedule.
Our school is an experimental/laboratory school which provides opportunities to practice cutting edge teaching strategies. There is ample flexibility and new ideas are welcomed and encouraged. We are engaged with Makerspace, Socratic Seminars, Robotics, Math Initiatives, Project Based Learning a school-wide Technology support program and a strong Community Engagement program.
If you are interested in gaining exposure to living abroad and teaching in a foreign country, CAS would be a perfect choice. We have a student body of 335 students ranging from Nursery to 12th grade. All our students go on to college when they complete high school.
This is also an opportunity to be exposed to Spanish as well. (You do not need to speak Spanish for this position.)
