Position Summary:


The goal of the Strategic Partnerships team is to support LEE members to influence the development and implementation of education policies by identifying high-impact professional opportunities and coaching members in their pursuit of those roles.


The Coordinator, Policy and Advocacy, Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving the systems and processes that enable the Strategic Partnerships team to achieve its goals. This person will manage the team’s logistics, as well as coordinate internal and external stakeholders, processes, and perform administrative duties in order to help the team to execute its programs and processes to support our members in pursuit of high impact opportunities. The Coordinator will provide administrative support, including scheduling and submitting expense reports for the Senior Director and other team members as needed.


The Coordinator will be responsible for owning aspects of the PA career coaching program including coordination of the coach matching process, as well as tracking and facilitating member engagement, data, communications, and project/program management. The Coordinator will serve as liaison to the Communications and Technology teams for Strategic Partnerships programs and products including member engagement campaigns, Hotjobs email and jobs board submissions, online resume collection, and ongoing data requests.


One of the Coordinator’s primary responsibilities will be to manage internal and external communication, including drafting communication in multiple mediums, such as emails, blogs, social media updates, and other digital content. This position is also responsible for data maintenance and integrity as well as creating data reports and analyses that provide insight and enhance the team’s effectiveness.

This role requires creativity, resourcefulness, the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders in person and remotely, exceptional attention to detail, and an ability to create systems - to ensure we are constantly learning, improving, and developing ways to work more effectively. The Coordinator needs to exercise strong judgment in responding to questions, troubleshooting problems, and flagging issues for other team members as needed.

Responsibilities:


Coordinating Stakeholders, Communications, Processes and Administrative Functions (40%)


  • Track deadlines and create or update organizational systems to ensure team productivity and effectiveness
  • Create and manage diplomatic, engaged communications with internal and external constituencies
  • Coordinate coaching requests, job bank and resume bank management
  • Manage team communications tools such as pardot emails, webinars and digital tools
  • Draft documents for review such as emails and communication, blog posts, and other digital content in coordination with the director and manager, strategic partnerships
  • Create planning documents, trackers and reports, among other documents to help the team to understand its data and to drive insights on its progress 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve efficiencies


Data Entry and Monitoring (20%)


  • Collect and enter data into LEEnk database and maintaining accurate records
  • Work across teams at LEE, especially with the technology team, to drive efficient collection and analysis of data
  • Regularly review the Strategic Partnership team’s data reporting to ensure it is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible
  • Update data, pull reports, create dashboards, and utilize data analysis to enhance the impact of the team
  • Train other members of the team on data systems and entry


Data Tracking (20%)


  • Regularly review the Strategic Partnership team’s data reporting to ensure it is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible
  • Create planning documents, trackers and reports to help the team to understand its data and to drive insights on its progress
  • Maintain the integrity and availability of the Strategic Partnerships team’s data in Salesforce/LEEnk and leading data clean-up activities on a regular schedule or as requested
  • Complete custom data requests and pull and update reports, as needed


Administrative and Team Support (15%)


  • Schedule the Strategic Partnership’s team meetings and other requests
  • General project management, including maintaining meeting timelines and deadlines
  • Event support, as needed
  • Handle scheduling for Senior Director, as needed
  • Reconcile AMEX reports
  • Other admin duties as requested


Special Projects (5%)


  • Support and manage special project related assignments (e.g. appointments project cohort) as needed


 Minimum Qualifications:


  • 2 years of prior work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, track, and manage workflow and resources with attention to detail
  • Excellent technical and communications skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal acumen
  • Ability to develop engaging communications for internal and external audiences across multiple mediums
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Facility with online platforms and databases (e.g. Google documents, Salesforce) and ability to quickly learn new platforms
  • Entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume, results-oriented environment
  • Approaches challenges/opportunities with creativity and resourcefulness


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in education sector/classroom
  • Interest or experience in policy, advocacy, organizing, electoral politics
  • Experience with data analysis
  • Considerable experience using Salesforce
  • Experience in project and/or program management
  • Experience with digital communication (e.g. e-newsletters, blog posts, etc.)
  • Work experience in a geographically dispersed work environment
  • Deep alignment with the LEE mission
