SHE-CAN is seeking a full-time Office Coordinator to join our growing team in Mill Valley by working directly with the Development Manager in building the organization's donation system and donor base, helping the Executive Director with scheduling and communication, and handling office admin needs for the office of 6 people.

SHE-CAN (Supporting Her Education Changes A Nation) is a global organization that transforms the lives of bright young women from post-conflict countries by helping them win scholarships to U.S. universities, providing them with leadership training, and pairing them with U.S. mentor teams. We have helped 46 young women from Rwanda, Cambodia and Afghanistan win full scholarships at top U.S. colleges. You will be part of a growing and dynamic team that will produce some of the world's next great female leaders and change-agents. We are at an exciting moment of expansion and are looking for someone who shares our passion. 


  • Donation Processing and Reporting: Manage donor database in Salesforce by processing donations, issuing tax receipts, tracking and invoicing pledges, generating and distributing monthly Salesforce reports, and ensuring that all new contacts are added to the database
  • Donor Relationship Building: Build relationships by helping with event follow-up, tracking outreach and donor communication, creating welcome packets for new donors, and following donor acknowledgement procedures
  • Assisting with Research and Writing: Helping with grant research and writing, researching relevant development topics for ED, assisting Communications Coordinator with website content updates
  • Administrative: General office organization, technology, purchasing and expenses, organizing and booking travel logistics for scholars and ED, event set up, planning, and materials


  • Must have experience with donation processing in a CRM database and direct experience with Salesforce is ideal. This includes generating reports, forms, templates, list-creation, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experienced in office administrative roles
  • Resourceful, organized, excellent attention to detail, personable
  • Technology savvy. Has capacity to bring new technology ideas to our program
  • Capacity to work and thrive in a growing, fast-paced organization with a collaborative environment


  • This is a 40-hour a week salaried position
  • Job requires you work every day in the Mill Valley office
  • Salary will be competitive based on experience
  • This position does not include benefits and requires a computer and smart phone

SHE-CAN was formerly called Open A Door Foundation. SHE-CAN is located in Mill Valley, CA. Only Bay Area local candidates will be considered, all work to be done from our Mill Valley Office.
