Inclusiv is seeking an experienced lending professional to support its community development lending business lines.

Inclusiv/Capital helps Community Development Credit Unions (CDCUs) strengthen their finances and expand their impact on low-income communities. Inclusiv’s current investment offerings are designed to increase liquidity, boost net worth, and reduce credit unions’ risk so our member CDCUs can achieve greater impact in their local communities.

 Inclusiv/Mortgage is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Inclusiv which provides mortgage-related services to credit unions serving low- and moderate-income members and communities. The Inclusiv/Mortgage Secondary Market Program helps CDCUs originate affordable mortgage loans, providing member credit unions the ability to expand homeownership to lower wealth members underserved by the traditional mortgage market.

Inclusiv offers a wide range of advocacy, educational, training, investment, marketing, and outreach programs to support and assist CDCUs.

 POSITION SUMMARY

The Lending Specialist is a key member of the Investment team responsible for operational support of Inclusiv’s Capital and Mortgage business lines. This position ensures the successful operation and stability of Inclusiv’s various lending and investing activities.  Responsibilities include supporting the administration of these programs including assisting with loan and investment package closings, servicing, analysis and assisting with portfolio monitoring and reporting.

REPORTS TO: Directors of Capital and Mortgage

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Responsible for:

•        Loan and deposit processing, packaging, and administration

•        Assistance with loan underwriting and quality control reviews

•        Correspondence with member credit unions regarding loan applications and closings

•        Managing and monitoring third-party mortgage loan servicing

•        Support capital raising, research and related tasks as needed 

•        General file management, scheduling, and other supportive roles

 Specific duties include: 

Inclusiv/Mortgage Operations 

•        Perform select underwriting and quality control procedures for mortgage loan purchases

•        Support credit unions to move through the loan application and qualifying seller\servicer processes

•        Create and distribute daily loan rate sheets

•        Maintain branding of mortgage docs & make changes when necessary

•        Manage General upkeep, data entry & cleanup of master mortgage portfolio spreadsheet

•        Liaise with the Accounting Department to ensure accurate fiscal recording of mortgage operations

•        Liaise with third-party servicers for servicing transfers and delinquency reporting

•        Monitoring & filing of Collateral docs (digital & hard copies) for all loans purchased

•        Work with Team on development & implementation of new loan programs 

Inclusiv/Capital Operations

·        Distribute daily deposit rates and contact investors regarding new CD sales

·        Support loan underwriting from initial contact through application and loan closing

·        Support direct loan servicing with member credit unions

·        Assist with regular investor reporting

 REQUIRED SKILLS and COMPETENCIES

•        Undergraduate Degree and minimum of one-three years of lending or investment experience required

•        Understanding of loan processing & basics of underwriting helpful

•        Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team within mission-driven work environment

•        An understanding of, and commitment to Inclusiv’s mission, vision and values.

•        Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds

•        Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint required

•        High level of integrity, personal organization and flexibility

•        Self-confidence and initiative, excellent problem solver

•        Ability to prioritize and organize task completion in alignment with strategic goals

•       Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
