Volunteer Coordinator

Transplant House of Cleveland, located in the arts and cultural area known as University Circle, provides temporary, home-away-from-home accommodations and a community of support for patients and their caregivers on the rollercoaster journey of organ transplant. Our guests, who often travel from small towns, stay with us from one day to many months. Our staff and volunteers help them feel welcome and supported by living our values of compassion, acceptance, gratitude, and self-efficacy. We are seeking an individual who embraces those values, engages others in a collective manner, and is looking for a role that allows use of their unique skills and experiences to have a positive impact on the lives of these patients and their caregivers.

The role:

This is a full-time position with a 40-hour per week schedule with medical benefits, 20 days paid time off, 7 holidays, a Simple IRA option after 1 year, and a salary between $35-$40,000.  With the goal of meeting the needs of the organization while also hiring the best people for the organization, eligible candidates who are interviewed will be asked about their ability to work some early evening, weekend, and holiday hours, as well as being on call 1-2 weeks per month. 

The House:

• Provides healthcare hospitality through its 25-unit, three building, campus that operates 24-hours per day, 365 days per year. 
• Provides physical fitness opportunities by traversing the campus and stairs routinely; climbing stairs while carrying household goods and laundry is essential to this role
• Works to ensure COVID-19 precautions are followed by having fully vaccinated staff and volunteers, personal protective equipment (PPE) available. 
• Provides a tobacco-free campus
