About CareerWise

Do you want to make a lasting difference in the lives of high school students who are just starting to explore the path to their future? Become part of a bold new program that is redefining the look of Colorado’s workforce, and multiplying the pathways students can take to success.

CareerWise Colorado is a nationally-recognized startup organization that is reshaping Colorado's workforce through innovative youth apprenticeships. At CareerWise, apprenticeships provide paid and meaningful job training experience that are designed to prepare each apprentice for a career in that field. While completing their three-year commitment, our youth apprentices earn a year’s worth of college credit, a nationally-recognized industry certification, and establish an invaluable professional network. All this while being paid to gain meaningful real-world experience.

CareerWise is seeking four talented AmeriCorps VISTA members to strengthen our ability to execute an effective student outreach and recruitment campaign. You’ll help us discover, capture and disseminate the messages that resonate with young people and their families to open their minds to the possibility of modern youth apprenticeship.

CareerWise is supported by nearly $15M of investment from leading national and local funders including Bloomberg Philanthropies, JP Morgan Chase Foundation, the Daniels Fund and the Colorado Health Foundation.
