City Year Seattle/King County is seeking a talented individual to join team as the Impact Analytics Manager. This position will play an integral role in our Impact Department as well as support our Development and People and Operations Teams. This is the perfect position for a person-centered, detail-oriented, and Excel/data system expert. This individual will enjoy being highly collaborative, will seek to understand and build equitable and anti-racist processes, and can navigate multiple Excel/data systems.

A member of our Impact Department, the Impact Analytics Manager will report to our Learning and Development Director and will work closely with members of the Seattle/King County site to:

1. Develop evaluation data systems and tools to capture outputs and outcome data.

2. Monitor data quality and integrity through reports and provide updates to other departments.

3. Serve an important role in analyzing and communicating data to multiple audiences.

4. Facilitate trainings and data review meetings for AmeriCorps Members and staff.

Responsibilities

Site-Level Responsibilities (30%)

  • Oversee the yearlong use, plans, and vision for data both internally and externally at City Year Seattle / King County (CYSKC)
  • Act as main data liaison to Seattle Public Schools (SPS) district office
  • Act as primary point person to City Year National HQ Operations and ITS for all CYSKC data management and reporting needs, including data transfers from SPS to CYSchoolhouse (CYSchoolhouse is our City Year student data management system)
  • Act as primary contact point for Government Relations for managing AmeriCorps monitoring and reporting, including adjusting goals as needed, monitoring progress towards AmeriCorps outcomes across CYSKC’s grants and providing data for both mid-year and end-of-year AmeriCorps reports
  • Act as a data liaison to City Year Seattle / King County Board, including preparing program aligned data updates
  • Steward a culture of data use in decision making and supporting staff and AmeriCorps Members (as needed) with the hard skills needed to support that culture 
  • Ad-hoc data support: Grant data support, Race & Equity, data for Levy support

Impact Department Responsibilities (40%)

  • Manage process and systems for data collection, tracking and reporting initiatives: 
  • Student-level data collection from 11 schools 
  • Internal tracking of student enrollment and progress in targeted support areas, including attendance, behavior, afterschool programs, English language arts and mathematics  
  • Train and provide ongoing support to Impact staff and corps members on processes and systems used for student-level data collection, tracking, and reporting
  • Lead trainings on using Excel; reading and interpreting data on student course grades and attendance; facilitating conversations with others on the use of data; leading data review meetings; using Salesforce; and maintaining data security. 
  • Co-lead the Holistic Student Assessment (Social-emotional Learning Survey) Process with the Impact Leadership Team 
  • Provide support and respond to Impact Managers and Team Leaders’ challenges regarding data collection, submission, tracking and reporting. 
  • Oversee data management platforms (CYSchoolhouse and Power BI) to manage and maintain data reports with necessary levels of data security 
  • Lead Facilitated Data Reviews; ensure data is being reviewed in schools and as an Impact Department (e.g., student data, AmeriCorps Member survey, observation & coaching data, etc.) 
  • Projecting and tracking ACM hours to a 1700-hour service year 

Development Department Responsibilities (10%)

  • Collect, analyze, and report on all required metrics for individual, foundation, and corporate funders
  • Approve all aggregate data shared with External Affairs and Development for reporting, events and external needs
  • Support on all data for external engagements, including working with Development and SLT to discuss our data work with donors and external stakeholders
  • Meet with the Development team quarterly to determine opportunities for future collaboration 

Learning & Development (L&D) Responsibilities (10%)

  • Collaborate with L&D Director and Manager on L&D AmeriCorps Member surveys and cycle of L&D feedback 
  • Support L&D Manager with Registration Day and other tasks identified for ACM Onboarding 
  • Supports with Observation and Coaching tools in collaboration with L&D team  

People and Operations Department Responsibilities (10%)

  • Collaborate with People and Operations department to create and analyze staff surveys
  • Provide increased data analysis support for investigating staff surveys and people data in service of site talent plan 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience and interest in learning and navigating new data systems and processes, with a keen attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of data and data processes
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex data and communicate it to a variety of audiences
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel and interest in learning new software and technologies
  • Strong organization and project management skills; able to manage multiple tasks, priorities and stakeholders effectively in a changing and ambiguous environment; ability to generate results and complete projects within deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the proven ability to teach others new processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with experience building equitable, human-centered processes and finding creative solutions to balance competing priorities
  • Strong track record of building authentic partnerships and relationships with community members and organizations rooted in anti-racist practices
  • Demonstrated a lived commitment to apply racial, gender and economic justice lenses in both personal and workplace contexts
  • Demonstrated commitment to curiosity and humility as a life-long learner, seeking diverse perspectives and opportunities for self-growth

USD 51,000 - USD 55,600
