Job Title:        Annual Giving Manager

Department:   Development

Reports to:     Director of Development

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Annual Giving Manager reports to the Director of Development and is responsible for developing and implementing all aspects of Annual Giving including Membership, Annual

Appeal, and Corporate Support.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

Develop and execute short term and long term strategies for annual fundraising programs.

Create and manage timely and effective initiatives to increase annual giving, including Membership, Annual Appeal, and Corporate Support.

 

Manage overall communications for annual programs. Develop and implement strategy for Annual Appeal campaign using direct mail, email, events and social media in accordance with annual goals. Draft communication, create mailing lists and manage direct mail and email projects.

 

Oversee membership program focused on increasing member renewals, new member acquisition and improvements in overall member retention. Track financial data and report on trends and create strategy to increase giving.

 

Plan and execute membership events.

 

Manage annual corporate giving program including corporate sponsorship and grants. Set goals, identify new prospects and renew current prospects.

 

Create fundraising proposals as needed.

 

Create tracking reports for status updates and board meetings. 

 

Provide overall support to the Development Department as needed, attend and support all major fundraising events and select public programs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years fundraising experience.

 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

 

Strong organizational skills; detail oriented.

 

Excellent computer skills; experience in managing/using Raiser’s Edge strongly preferred.

Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment. Strong team contributor. Comfortable working with a wide variety of people including board members, volunteers, vendors, senior staff and department heads.

 

Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and define implications and outcomes.

 

Experience with direct mail and email marketing software.
