This is a high visibility role, responsible for overseeing the operational function of ASA’s TRIO programs through their wind down over the next two years. You will provide regular support to the managers of each program, communicate with both internal and external stakeholders as appropriate, and ensure that ASA is meeting all Department of Education requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (e.g., to be considered to perform this position, the person must be able to perform essential duties and responsibilities listed below):

Among other tasks, the candidate will be asked to:

  • Oversee and manage a team of experienced TRIO program managers to ensure the completion of pre-existing partnerships and grant obligations.
  • Support and manage student programing as based on ASA grant objectives.
  • Working with the team managers, ensure effective relationships with Boston and Brockton areas schools.
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the group’s operations including budget tracking with finance, ongoing tracking and reporting of activities, and personnel needs.
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Monitor performance toward reporting metrics of existing programs and provide feedback to team management to assist with course correction.
  • Be the bridge between the field program staff and ASA home office and the senior management.
  • Working with senior management, to project manage the wind down and/or transfer process of the programs over the next two years.

All other duties as assigned.

STANDARD MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Establishes division budget and monitors and reports on resource requirements and variances.
  2. Builds team through hiring and staff development. Promotes staff development across the division.
  3. Participates in or leads cross-functional projects of high complexity or importance, representing the division and/or ASA’s strategic goals, or manages high-importance division projects.
  4. Defines division measures of success and drives performance standards throughout all levels; delivers performance reviews to direct reports.
  5. Ensures department is compliant with company standards and policies.
  6. Facilitates meetings for division; makes presentations; conveys information as needed to senior management or team members.
