Who are we?
Tipping Point Community works to break the cycle of poverty for individuals and families in the Bay Area. Since 2005, Tipping Point has raised more than $200 million to support the 1.3 million people in the Bay Area who are too poor to meet their basic needs. We do things differently. We leverage the resources and expertise of our community to invest in solutions that prevent poverty: a nurturing early childhood, strong education, gainful employment, and stable housing. We are laser-focused on metrics and hold our partners and ourselves accountable for results. Our Board covers 100% of our costs, so every dollar donated goes where it’s needed most.

What will you do?
We are seeking an aspiring fundraising professional, excited about learning all aspects of the development process and passionate about changing the landscape of poverty in the Bay Area. As part of a growing development team, you will be responsible for organizing and executing development operations which are crucial to meeting our fundraising goals. You will assist in data management and reporting, donor events and communications, prospect research, and grants management. This position reports to the Development Manager and works closely with the Development team.
- Leverage Salesforce to analyze donor and fundraising data and report out on all development team activities.
- Assist with the strategy, planning and execution of donor cultivation and fundraising events.
- Own guest relations and RSVPs for donor-facing events; provide top-notch customer service in managing guest correspondence.
- Research and evaluate the capacity and propensity of donors and prospects and provide in-depth, high-quality donor briefings for meetings and events.
- Assist in writing and preparation of grant reports and proposals within specified timelines.

- You are analytical. You ask questions and enjoy using numbers to find the answers. You are skilled at analyzing and manipulating data and presenting it in a digestible format.

- You invest in people. You recognize you are part of a whole. You learn from others, teach those around you, and truly care about the people you work with.
Nice to have*:
- Local knowledge of the Bay Area philanthropic community.
- Experience with donor databases, ideally Salesforce.
- Grant writing experience.
- Experience working with philanthropy, wealth management, development, or non-profit organizations.
