The Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County works to prevent domestic violence and empower victims to move towards self-sufficiency. DAP provides counseling, advocacy, legal services and emergency shelter to victims.

The Client Intake Coordinator reports directly to the Office Manager, and is a full time position.

Essential Duties:

  • Client Intake        
  • Greet and sign in all visitors to the Agency; distribute confidentiality form when necessary
  • Guide victims and clients through the intake documentation and process
  • Maintain client intake packets
  • Manage client & abuser data base
  • Administer legal service conflict checks
  • Assess urgency of client needs and triage accordingly
  • Refer incoming calls to appropriate DAP staff, including hotline
  • Data Entry & Reporting
  • Data entry for state reporting system (ETO) required by PCADV and other funders
  • Maintain client service statistics for Agency reporting
  • Update vacation/sick/personal accrual database    


Agency Operations:

  • Route incoming Agency calls to appropriate staff
  • Responsible for Agency Voicemail and message distribution
  • Responsible for Agency mail distribution and assuring mail is taken out daily
  • Assist with Agency mailings (stuffing envelopes, postage meter)
  • Welcome in-person donations, complete donor information and notify appropriate department 

Other Duties:

  • Maintain a welcoming and clean waiting room and reception area, ensuring at the end of each day the waiting room is organized
  • Order office supplies once approved by Executive Director and or Office Manager
  • Support Agency Departments with special assignments as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills Required:    

  • Excellent interpersonal and phone skills especially with victim interactions
  • Proficiency and accuracy in data entry; ability to organize and communicate information to victims, guests and staff
  • Ability to work under pressure with victims in crisis and be flexible in approach to work
  • Knowledge of M/S Office required, and excellent keyboarding skills
  • Ability to integrate various work responsibilities into a daily routine
