Description

Under the direction and supervision of Children’s Home Society of California’s (CHS) Director of Program Operations, the Program Administrator is responsible for the on-site supervision of the Orange office staff and operations. In this capacity the Program Administrator will:

·        Coordinate the delivery of Early Learning and Education Programs in Orange County, including CalWORKs and non-CalWORKs subsidized child care, Family Child Care Home Education Network, Resource and Referral Program, and other local programs

·        Supervise Program Management Staff in the delivery of case management services to eligible families, including intake, certification, recertification, and termination of services

·        Coordinate and support quality developmentally appropriate programming for child care providers

·        Supervise and coordinate completion of Desired Results Developmental Profiles (DRDP) and Family Child Care Environmental Rating Scale Revised (FCCERS-R) observations

·        Conduct outreach and networking within the Orange County community and coordinate CHS’s support to community partners and groups

·        Ensure programs meet or exceed contract compliance, program goals, and objectives

·        Promote high quality program standards and monitor quality assurance

·        Mentor, train, and evaluate supervised staff

·        Ensure accurate, timely, and transparent reporting

·        Maintain office in a manner that meet CHS’s standards and expectations

·        Maintain all records in a high-quality manner and within record protection, retention, and destruction guidelines

·        Adhere to all agency policies and procedures, as well as applicable contractual and governmental regulations

·        Evening and weekend work hours will be required

·        Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as needed


QUALIFICATIONS:


·          Master’s Degree in Child Development or Human Development, or related field desired; Bachelor’s Degree required

·          Minimum of seven years progressive leadership and supervisory experience

·          Prior nonprofit experience preferred

·          Knowledge of the Orange County early learning and education community and local programs

·          Knowledge of California Code of Regulations Title 22

·          Knowledge of California Code of Regulations Title 5

·          Ability to effectively manage a variety of service contracts

·          Excellent project management and organizational skills

·          Ability to prepare and present effective written work, provide clear instructions to varied levels of staff, provide strong attention to detail, and produce error-free work

·          Proactive professional with a strong work ethic and an ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

·          Ability to manage multiple projects and shift quickly between assignments with a flexible and positive attitude while meeting deadlines

·          Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment

·          Commitment to CHS’s core mission and values, and an ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners

·          Excellent ability to communicate effectively, respectfully, and transparently in a straightforward manner with Board Members and all levels of staff

·          Ability to use Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

·          Automobile, valid driver’s license, good driving record, and automobile insurance required

·          Ability to travel via air and surface transportation


SALARY SCALE: $5,200.00 to 6,932.64 per month, based on experience and education plus excellent benefits
