Even after the full implementation of the Affordable Care Act, 1 in 10 Americans remain without health insurance. An even greater number report going years without seeing a dental or vision professional because they just cannot afford it. California CareForce (CCF) is a group of medical professionals, community leaders, and caring citizens who provide free medical, dental, and vision care to those in need at 3-day, volunteer-led clinics across California with no questions asked. We do not require ID or proof of insurance and have no restrictions on who can receive our care based on income, employment, age, residency, or immigration status. Our volunteers believe that everyone, regardless of their background, deserves access to basic healthcare.

Since 2011, over 13,000 volunteers have provided critical healthcare to over 28,600 individuals, delivering $11,660,000 worth of services, through California CareForce’s clinics in Sacramento, Oakland, the Coachella Valley, Placer County, and the Greater Los Angeles area.

The Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator is a key member of the California CareForce team. Their primary role is to recruit professional and general volunteers for California CareForce’s clinics in addition to providing them with support and recognition to ensure they have the best possible experience volunteering. The Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator’s secondary role is to spread the word about California CareForce’s clinics to individuals and families in our communities who could benefit from free healthcare services the most. They work closely under the supervision of the Clinic Program Manager with periodic support from the Administrative Assistant.
