Position Summary

The CRM Data Administrator manages Tahirih’s constituent relationship management (CRM) and online fundraising systems. This individual works extensively with Development staff to fulfill data integrity requirements by managing users, data and security for these systems, as well as conduct data pulls for constituent/donor communications. 

 Tahirih is currently on fully remote working status. We intend to return employees to work through a phased approach at an unidentified time in the future when health and safety standards permit. When we fully return to offices, this position will commute to one of our five office locations (Falls Church, VA; Atlanta, GA; Houston, TX; San Bruno, CA; or Baltimore, MD).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain data integrity of constituent databases: Convio Luminate Online, Convio CRM, and Salesforce and train relevant staff on data entry and usage.
  • Coordinate with staff across departments to ensure CRMs are user-friendly, staff is trained, and generated reports reflect accurate data.
  • Reconfigure CRMs to ensure user adoption and streamline data entry processes.
  • Conduct data pulls, segmentation, and reporting for programmatic and fundraising communications.
  • Create and maintain email audiences for e-mail communications.
  • Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards. In consultation with Communications Team, participate in monitoring the statistics for website and electronic communications and contribute a data perspective to the analysis of effectiveness of donor cultivation, communication and fundraising campaigns
  • Conduct periodic data audits to ensure integrity of system.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
  • Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
  • Develop processes for optimizing database security and document processes for CRMs to set and maintain database standards.
  • Manage database access.
  • Seek system improvements and coordinate with system vendor to implement changes.

Requirements

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Proficient HTML skills required
  • Proficient Excel skills required
  • One to three years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field
  • Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools
  • Experience with database technologies (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, MongoDB)
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
  • Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
  • PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively about business problems and present concrete, realistic solutions

Salary and Benefits: The salary range for this role is expected to be $70,000 - $80,000 per year, with actual salary commensurate with experience. Generous benefits include employee and dependent health, vision and dental insurance (Tahirih contributes pays 80% of the premium for employees and 60% for dependents); a 401(k) defined contribution retirement plan; flexible work schedules; professional development including in-house training programs, staff enrichment retreats and other growth opportunities.
