If you’re ready for the brightest career future, join us in this excellent opportunity to showcase your talents. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Manager for our Worker's Comp & Liens department. 


  • Administer the Fund’s Right to Reimbursement and Subrogation in Third Party Lien and No-Fault cases; oversee the recovery of benefits paid by the Fund in Workers’ Compensation Cases
  • Review and approve lien reductions based on established guidelines in Third Party Lien policy, negotiate the Fund’s reimbursement with attorneys and members, respond to inquiries, initiate benefit suspension process as needed, partner with the Legal Department on issues and cases
  • Act as business owner for Perfectlaw Database for third party cases, interface with vendor to make changes to database or reports, coordinate technical support with the Information Technology department as needed
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly cost savings and production reports; provide statistical data on the activities of the department and recovered amounts
  • Prepare Third Party Liens and Workers’ Compensation policies and procedures; establish operating departmental guidelines
  • Supervise staff in accordance with established departmental and Human Resources guidelines and provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement; ensure staff is trained and developed to meet the goals and needs of the department
  • Request workers’ compensation hearings when liens have not been addressed, represent the Fund at hearings or assign staff to attend as needed
  • Establish user access to the electronic case folders with the NYS Workers’ Compensation Board, act as administrator and primary contact with the board
  • Assist other departments on worker’s compensation and no-fault cases; conduct training as requested
  • Perform additional duties and project as assigned by management 
  • Must meet performance standard including attendance and punctuality


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Law or equivalent years of work experience required
  • Minimum six (6) years experience with Workers’ Compensation or Third Party Lien cases; to include a minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience required
  • Paralegal Certificate a plus
  • Experience with torts and personal injury actions; knowledge of workers’ compensation process, procedures and no-fault law required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to represent ideas clearly and concisely to effectively negotiate with attorneys on large settlement amounts
  • Good leadership skills with ability to direct and motivate staff; able to interact well with individuals at all levels
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to exercise good judgment, prioritize cases, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and analyze data
