Job Overview/Summary:

The mission of the Talent Management team is to take the IRC's people to the next level. The team is responsible for improving the productivity of IRC staff by providing tools, processes, and guidance for effective performance management, onboarding and orientation, staff and leadership development, and quality individual and team learning.

The Talent Management Associate will provide general administrative and targeted project support to the Talent Management team. S/he is a key member of the team, with direct impact on the IRC's ability to proactively support its employees around the world. S/he will also liaise with Headquarters, International field staff and third parties as needed.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Learning and Development program support
  • Provide project support as Learning and Development initiatives are designed, piloted and implemented
  • Maintain project plans for Talent Management initiatives
  • Develop and maintain Talent Management initiative communications and materials as needed, including emails, newsletters, documents and presentations
  • Contribute to the overall Talent Management strategy and initiatives; help identify what is working, where there is room for improvement and how we can use data to tell a story
  • Plan supporting events and trainings to include venue selection, catering, participant management, and the coordination of other related activities
  • Support Headquarters orientation delivery by serving as a facilitator and collecting feedback on new hires' experience

Project and Knowledge Management

  • Develop and maintain knowledge management methodology for the team and/or its projects as needed, including paper and electronic records
  • Review, compile, and synthesize information for various Talent Management initiatives, such as the review of data, records, other project documents


  • Manage general Talent Management correspondence, including emails, memos and business documents
  • Create, maintain and update basic information for intranet presence
  • Maintain Talent Management team intranet pages, ensuring accuracy of all information available to the organization
  • Draft internal and external communications, and support the creation of PowerPoint and other informational presentations
  • Conceptualize and arrange occasional, brown bag-like learning events for Headquarters' staff.

Finance and Administration

  • Provide administrative support for the learning platform, including the creation and closure of learner accounts
  • Maintain the Talent Management budget, including processing and reconciliation of invoices and payments
  • Provide general administrative support for the Talent Management team, including scheduling, compiling meeting materials, taking meeting notes as needed, photocopying, filing, coordinating travel arrangements and expenses, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative function, supporting multiple people
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and email/internet
  • A high degree of professionalism and strong work ethic coupled with a sense of responsibility and integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, dependability and the ability to communicate with all levels in and outside of the organization
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Knowledge of HTML or making basic web pages a plus
  • French and/or Arabic a plus
