The Role:

The Family Resource Center (FRC) at MCC is a welcoming community space that offers something for every family in Lower Manhattan. From wellness workshops to parenting support, free legal advice to a boutique of free children’s clothing, the FRC is a hub of holistic services accessible to all members of the community. Our team is ready to help connect families to a range of resources and services and no question or request is too big or too small. Whether you drop into one of our cooking classes or schedule time to meet with one of our trained care professionals, you can expect to feel seen, respected, and welcomed. No matter why you come or how often you come back, the FRC is a place where every family belongs.

The Family Resource Center (FRC) is seeking an Outreach Coordinator who will be responsible for connecting the surrounding community with the FRC and increasing the FRC’s visibility as well as clients' usage rates across all of our programs. Duties include developing strategies for engagement with the local community, managing and deploying a team of Parent Navigators, and maintaining a calendar for outreach events.

Responsibilities:

· Developing marketing and other promotional materials (i.e., flyers, web presence, brochures, and social media) in collaboration with the EA and MCC Marketing team in order to recruit or engage families

· Tailoring messages to a diverse cross-section of community members.

· Conducting strategic community mapping and messaging

· Data collection including tracking usage trends in order to better craft outreach and marketing plans

· Managing a team of FRC Parent Navigators to be ambassadors in the community and connect people to services. Provide training opportunities for all Parent Navigators

· Sitting on local community boards in order to increase the FRC’s presence in the Lower East Side and cultivate community partnerships

· Managing the promotion of all FRC community education campaigns including the Child Tax Credit, health equity, and the vaccination effort

Requirements:

· A bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field

· Bilingual communication skills a plus, Spanish or Mandarin

· 2-3 years of experience in the field

· Strong industry knowledge

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

· Strong organizational and management skills

· Experience with databases, customer service research skills

· Good reporting, technical, and statistical skills

COVID Vaccination Policy
