The Development Manager will support Vinfen's mission by achieving fundraising and companywide development goals to benefit the array of services provided to individuals with disabilities. The Development Manager will engage individual donors, cultivate corporate sponsors, manage planned giving, solicit in-kind donations, and lead workplace giving to achieve fundraising goals.

Working under the direction of the Director of Communications and Development, the Development Manager will also be responsible for identifying additional opportunities, building relationships, and establishing strong partnerships. In collaboration with the Communications Team, he / she / they will produce effective fundraising appeals and write donor communications as needed. In addition, the Development Manager is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the relational database, processing and acknowledging gifts, and reporting on development efforts.

  • Develops and executes to a multi-year strategic plan, in partnership with Director of Communications & Development, to establish and advance organizational development goals and objectives.
  • Maintains active fundraising and development initiatives while assessing organizational program efforts and priorities.
  • Creates and executes to agreed-upon fundraising strategies, in alignment with strategic plan, including donor engagement and solicitation, corporate sponsorship, foundation grants, major gifts, individual giving, planned giving, in-kind donations, and workplace giving.
  • Leads sponsorship acquisition for special events including professional conferences, annual corporate events and program events.
  • Manages and maintains the relational database (i.e., tracks donations, keeps donor records, processes gifts, and sends acknowledgements) to ensure effective outreach and donor relations.
  • Conducts monthly reconciliation of donations with the Finance Department.
  • Collaborates with Communication's team on targeting strategies and channels, content development, and donor-specific-messaging for internal and external fundraising materials.
  • Serves as organizational content expert for Vinfen departments and programs, providing support, guidance, and technical assistance to ensure program-level fundraising efforts are coordinated with corporate-level development strategy.
  • Other tasks as requested by the Director of Communications and Development.

Schedule: 20 hours / week (work schedule to be negotiated upon hire)

Salary: $30,000 / year

Location: Remote (with some in-person / in office responsibilities as needed)
