We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our global Growth team to build relationships with CEOs and founders of the top tech companies in the US and work with them in signing a pledge to commit to giving to some of the highest-impact funding opportunities across the globe. You will play a pivotal role in building up our presence in the US, focusing primarily (but not exclusively) on finding entrepreneurs based in San Francisco and New York who are committed to maximizing the impact of their future philanthropy.
We have ambitious targets to grow the total value of pledges made by our members and you will use your exceptional skills in building relationships, reaching out to influential tech leaders and high net-worth individuals through yours and our networks as well as finding innovative avenues to meet with people, to close pledges that contribute to an overall team target of $600million pledged in 2021.
You will need to be able to engage with prospective members as an equal, as well as having extensive knowledge of the tech sector, VC, and philanthropy. You will draw on your previous fundraising and sales experience to close pledges valued in the millions of dollars, so your experience in securing multi-million dollar funding will help you thrive in this role. You must also be comfortable with data and reporting, setting sales strategy, working with your fellow Growth Leads and our Growth Manager to ensure our strategic decisions in relationship building are based on reliable data about our current and future members.
Right now, we’re meeting with people primarily via phone calls, video conversations and email however when the world gets back to normal we will return to meeting people in person, hosting dinners for our community and prospective members and putting on larger events to showcase our research - so you will be expected to get out into the field once it’s safe to do so and engage with entrepreneurs in person.
