World Monuments Fund is seeking a Senior Manager, Membership and Annual Giving, to join our global, creative, and inclusive organization and oversee all aspects of our community of members and donors who support WMF’s work with gifts of less than $5,000. Reporting to the Vice President of External Affairs, this individual will be responsible for the management of WMF’s membership and annual giving program, including a robust integrated schedule of solicitations through direct mail and email. The successful candidate will be a highly analytical and data-oriented annual giving professional who is also creative, entrepreneurial, energetic, and goal-oriented, with excellent organizational skills. Major areas of responsibility and related tasks include:
Overall Program Strategy and Management
Identify opportunities for growth of the annual giving and membership program.
Working closely with WMF leadership and a direct response consultant, develop strategy and targets for engagement and revenue. Apply analytics to both short- and long-term growth planning, adjusting tactics as needed based on an ongoing close review of results.
Manage all ongoing solicitation, stewardship, and cultivation efforts for a growing community of WMF members and supporters in an integrated and thoughtful way, using leading-edge direct response tactics, member activities and communications, and member benefits and premiums, to maximize revenue as appropriate.
Working closely with database and communications colleagues, serve as lead WMF expert on donor and prospect segmentation, ensuring that all WMF mail and email communications and appeals distributed to <$5k supporters and prospects are thoughtfully sequenced and scheduled.
Oversee program budget ensuring all aspects of the program are on target with expense and revenue goals, with a consistent focus on ROI.
Create and distribute member and donor communications to support overall program goals.
Direct Response Program Management
Working closely with WMF leadership, colleagues, direct response consultant, and external vendors, help shape and administer an integrated multi-channel annual schedule of appeals to current, recent, and lapsed supporters plus acquisition prospects.
Ensure on-schedule distribution of solicitations, including multiple major direct mail acquisition and special gift solicitations, several email appeal series, and rolling monthly membership renewal series through mail and email.
Serve as WMF lead expert on using Pardot, WMF’s email marketing tool, to support development goals by creating and sending email appeals to accurately and precisely segmented supporter and prospect lists.
In addition to appeals developed and administered in collaboration with direct response consultant, produce and distribute in-house appeals, including membership renewals by mail and email, custom mid-level mail appeals, and special interest mail appeals regarding specific WMF program initiatives.
Donor and Member Stewardship
Act as a public face of WMF to the <$5k member/donor community, stewarding supporters through interactions at member/donor events, personal email and mail communications, and direct response program.
Ensure prompt and accurate fulfillment of member benefits and premiums to members.
Ensure timely and accurate acknowledgements of donations.Prioritize prompt and courteous response to all inquiries regarding membership or direct response solicitations.
Work with Director of Patron Programs and Vice President of External Affairs to identify prospects for increased engagement and giving upgrades.
Additional Program Administration
Use data-driven analysis and best practices to set annual goals and oversee progress toward goals, adjusting as needed based on close and timely oversight of ongoing results.
Oversee any member events and activities, ensuring that the work of World Monuments Fund, and donor/member impact, are shared in a way that is both compelling and accurate.
Act as a liaison to communications team to ensure website and social media content, email, and mail communications support the goals of the membership and annual giving program.
Manage relationships with direct response program vendors and partners.
Manage selection, production, and distribution of membership premiums and benefits to support program goals.
Work closely with Database Associate to ensure the accurate and timely creation of all lists and reports to support direct response solicitations and results analysis.
Maintain organized, up-to-date donor files and giving histories in organization database.
Manage all WMF list exchanges that are initiated both through direct response program activities and independently.
Work closely with direct response consultant and Database Associate to manage WMF participation in data modeling co-ops.

§ 7+ years of relevant experience
SKILLS and ATTRIBUTES
Consistently demonstrated high level of quantitative and analytical abilities.
Very strong creative and writing skills to enable effective oversight of an innovative, ambitious, and growing membership and annual giving program.
In-depth experience with integrated multi-channel direct response programs, including both direct mail and digital channels.
Knowledge of the evolving digital landscape, including best practices and benchmarks.
Strong experience with data-driven and results-oriented annual giving/membership program management.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Excellent interpersonal skills & the ability to work well with staff at all organizational levels.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce experience a plus.
