The Business Manager provides support and guidance for financial operation of the chapter including adherence to city, state and federal grant guidelines. The Manager supports ICAAP in implementing accounting practices consistence with grant funded organizations and overall financial management of the chapter under the direction and support of the Executive Director. The manager supports project staff in reporting, vouchering and invoicing for grants and other projects as needed.

The Manager is responsible for prepare financial reports/vouchers for grant funders in conjunction with project staff, tracking payments of vouchers/invoices from funders, assistance with the creation of project budgets with directors and executive director, preparation of month-end close, journal entries, and monthly bank reconciliations, manage cash flow, assist management with annual budget development, scheduling of expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. In addition they will serve as lead for year-end audit prep, working with management staff and external audit firm and assure adherence to financial reporting as required under grant programs while identifying areas for improvement. The position will support the ED in preparing quarterly Executive Committee financial reports and other reports as needed. 

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent education/experience. Three years previous bookkeeping experience, including use of QuickBooks accounting software (required). Experience in nonprofit organizations and with project-based, grant funded accounting, working with state and federal grants and ability to balance multiple streams of revenue is preferred. Demonstrated communication and organization skills and working with a multi-person team.  Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail programs required, with database skills also required.
