About Chestnut Hill Farm
Chestnut Hill Farm features a 7th year CSA program located on 170 rolling acres of crop fields, pastures, and woodlands in Southborough, MA. There are roughly 12 acres available for diversified crop production and a mixed “flerd” of around 200 goats and sheep. While our property is as agrarian as it gets in this area, we are located only a few minutes from the Boston-Worcester commuter rail, Hopkinton State Park, and the restaurants and retail shops in Westborough, Northborough, and Framingham. Our team is focused on supporting our ever-growing CSA and retail store through sustainable growing practices that improve the land we reside on. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to learn about organic vegetable production, sustainable grazing with small ruminants, and effective practices for marketing our products. There are also abundant opportunities to get first-hand experience with a variety of equipment ranging from tractors and BCS machines to low and no-till methods of growing.
